Why not now?

Anytime I begin to consider making a decision or doing something that requires more thought, my go to motto has become, "Why not now?"
There are so many things I enjoy doing, I want to do, yet I keep holding back. But why? What am I waiting for? And I ask you the same, what are you waiting for? A personal example I can share, is actually this blog! I started this blog as a sketch, as a potential, as something I would "eventually" (maybe) do, but not anything I was going to do soon. Until, it hit me. Why? I knew how this would help me reach people, encourage others, share my story, and do what God has called me to do. So I finally said to myself, "Why not?" and took the leap of faith. I think my main push back was, "What if I do not have enough to say?," "What if I don't remain consistent?," "What if I get busy and my blog dies out?" I realized there are challenges in everything, but that determination would be key. I have no regrets, I enjoy what I do and would be wasting time had I not started when I did!
You can do the same. As a believer, I like to ask myself, "What do I feel God is telling me?" "What direction is He pushing me in?" I pray about it and take my time to make sure that the decision I make is not simply for my own pleasure, but truly something I feel God directing me towards. When He is at the center, I can guarantee you whatever you do, it won't fail just as long as you continue to keep Him at the center of all you do.
Some of you might be thinking bigger picture. Perhaps starting a business or something that requires more factors. Maybe that is something you definitely know you can't do now, but there are still small things you can do to get there someday.
There is nothing complex about what I talked about today. Just a simple question that I propose for you all to think in your daily lives when considering a decision,
"Why not now?"
Are the reasons you're not doing something, valid or good reasons? Or just excuses holding you back? Don't stay stuck. Make sure you know why you are not doing something that you could be doing now.
Thanks for stopping by, till next time!
