It‘s in our human nature to always want more, we get one thing and we immediately want the next. We aren't satisfied with what we have.
To some extent, this feeling of dissatisfaction may not be a negative thing. Being too comfortable in one place and never wanting to grow or take a next step may leave you short of reaching your maximum potential. Yearning for more can help elevate you to a better place in many aspects of your life.
However, when it comes to what we have, this feeling of dissatisfaction can leave us unhappy, frustrated, and displeased with life as a whole. Why are you displeased with what you have? Is it because you see your neighbor has something you don't? Is it because you need to meet the status quo of what the world says is happiness or is "a good life?"
If you are always living unsatisfied, you will soon find that no matter how much you keep striving to get and achieve, you won't be satisfied. You will always keep reaching for something that is not found in that next thing, it is something you have to find for yourself.
It is a decision.
Life may not be perfect and you may not be where you want to be, but that does not mean you don't have everything you need to advance to that next step. That does not mean you cannot be happy with what you have right here and now.
“When you love what you have, you have everything you need.”
Check yourself, do you have everything you need?
Be content and grateful in what you have today because ultimately they're your stepping stones for where you will be later.
