Hello all and welcome back!

Today I am posting something quite different than I had planned. I find it wonderful how God works! I had scheduled something completely different for today, but I'd say God had other plans.

With that being said, as you've already seen I wanna talk some on what we all know as stress! I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we've all experienced stress before. This past year might have been even more stressful for a lot of us.

I just wanted this to be an encouraging word to tell and remind you that God is a God of peace. The stress you may be feeling from these past couple of months or right now, God does not mean for you to just "deal with it." God does not intend for you to be stressed and worried day in and day out.

Matthew 6:34

So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today.

We usually let this build up of stress and worry into our lives that becomes unhealthy. Do not take me wrong, I don't know your situation and what you might be going through. There are definitely moments where I have felt overwhelmed and stressed, anxious, upset, the list can go on. It is not easy, but that is why I believe Jesus says what he does in Matthew 6:34.

"Worry is a learned behavior." This is something my pastor said at one of his sermons a couple weeks ago. That's never something that crossed my mind. It makes me ask the question, "Where does worry come from? Where and in what is it rooted?" Perhaps I don't have the exact answers, but I know it isn't from God.

John 14: 27

I am leaving you with a gift- peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So do not be troubled or afraid.

This "peace of mind and heart" is something we can all obtain. It is something God has for us. While we may experience trials and difficulties, God still wants to be there in the midst of it and He still wants to give you peace that only He can give you. I encourage you to let Him in and allow Him to be your peace through whatever it is that may be causing stress in your life.

I hope that this has reminded you to breathe as we all go back to crazy schedules and routines from the holidays. Thanks for reading! Come back soon.
