"Your best isn't your best if you haven't given yourself your best attention."
I always want to do my best and be my best self for other people. Something I have learned however, is that I can't be my best self if I haven't realized what I need for myself first. It is important that we are mentally, physically, and spiritually strong in order to be our best selves.
We do not always stop and breathe. I wanted today to be your reminder to stop, breathe, and reflect on what areas of your life need a little more attention. If you are always worried about giving your 100%, then it is necessary that every once in a while you check in with yourself. You may be feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or anxious. Have you stopped to realize why that is?
Stop beating yourself up about why you aren't performing or doing your best. Change your perspective and change the question. Instead of beating yourself up or questioning why, ask yourself this, "What can I change in my everyday life to give my best in everything I do?"
This may look very different for everyone. Maybe taking 30 minutes a day from your busy schedule to do anything you want is what you need. Maybe spending that time journaling, listening to your favorite music, being in nature, or talking to a friend can make the difference. Maybe even change it up and try something new, find a new hobby, explore.
We are so caught up in life that sometimes we do not realize that we are not necessarily doing anything wrong, but our bodies are exhausted in some way. It is hard to give your all when your mind, soul, and body are lacking something.
I hope this has encouraged you to reflect and realize that maybe you just need some time. Maybe you just need to write out your game plan, find a new strategy, or a new routine. You can still give your all and be your best, just listen to your body and what it might be telling you that you need. There is nothing wrong with taking time for yourself.
Breathe, reflect, and act.
Thank you all for stopping by and remember to come back next week!
